Seen any Black-tailed Godwits lately??

The RSPB nature reserve at Leighton Moss provides a banquet for wading birds and those who make their homes in the reeds or on water.

But perhaps no-one told this flock of Black-tailed Godwits...

We spotted them in a field about 100m west of the reserve boundary, where they had joined a small flock of Lapwing.

So to any bird watchers who were at Leighton Moss on the look out for Black-tailed Godwit..... the grass was obviously greener on the other side!
