Country Fest, Crooklands

It was what you call a Grand Day Out!

Country Fest at Crooklands is a two day event organised annually by Westmorland County Agricultural Society. This was its ninth year but for us, it was a first.

We didn't know quite what to expect but there was certainly plenty to see and to entertain, from Teddy Bear parachuting to motorcycle stunt riders, with the WI tent somewhere in between the two.

The fabulous kite display caught our eye as we drove towards the site.

The WI tent was well supported..

It was quite a shock to come out of the WI tent and see motorbikes in the air!

And where else would you go to see a Ferret Roadshow?

A very skilled demonstration of dry stone walling

We think the rare breeds had had enough!

But the terriers were up for the chase, once they could be put into some kind of order..

Kite flying par excellence!

And if you are wondering what this photo shows, it's Teddy Bear parachuting of course!

As I said; it was a grand day out!
